Sara and Dave are fellow dog-lovers, foodies and beeries (I think I just made that word up). We had a super fun afternoon one day last week exploring the Arnold Arboretum, running manically around the harbor area chasing the fading sun, and then stuffing our faces with delicious home-cooked Mexican food and home brewed beer, courtesy of my husband. In fact, it may have just been me stuffing my face … after a sweet cupcake interlude part way through our shoot I was a little delirious …
We started out at the arboretum. It’s a few blocks away from my home, but last week was only my second visit. It’s so pretty there right now – everything is blossoming, and it’s so green. We started off with a few shots by an incredible patch of poofy pink blossoms:
Then we strolled around the pond and up onto a little bank:
Next, we found a patch of dandelions and had fun getting the dander stuck on Dave’s beard … (I love Sara’s face when she laughs)
Then we strolled some more, first finding the stream (and the lush lush light behind) and then a very cool tree:
My favorite photos came from one of our last stops, back near the entrance. I love the cat-tails that grow in the swampy meadow area, and the light there that afternoon was divine …
Our final photos were taken across town (through rush-hour traffic) along the harbor walk. I love to get a little shot of architecture in the mix to spice it up.
Thank you both for a very fun afternoon and for coming to sample the McElwee home-brew – I’m excited for your wedding at The Seaport in September!
