Central Park and Grand Central Station Engagement Session: Jess + Chris

May 17, 2010 | Engagements

Last week I had a flying visit to New York City for the second part to Jess and Chris’ engagement session.  The first time we met we had the saddest weather, all gray and icky, but we lucked out this time with bright blue skies and toasty warm rays.  We met on Philosophers’ Row (more commonly known as the Mall) in Central Park.  It was teeming with people – of course! – but it’s such a gorgeous spot we couldn’t resist taking a few shots there:

From the Mall we wandered west, first finding this sun-drenched little corner:

… and just around the corner were these big rocks (I love this about Central Park – so many different landscapes in one space):

Jess and Chris are both major runners (Jess just completed the Boston marathon!) and the spot below is just off one of their favorite bridle paths:

The bridges are cool, too …

After the park we grabbed a cab and headed over to Grand central station.  It was crazy in there!  Rush hour had already started – but that’s what makes it so cool.  I was so happy we got a good shot of them out in the middle of the station with commuters rushing around them:

After some final photos in and around Grand Central (and some fabulous Bellinis courtesy of Métrazur restaurant) we headed into the metro once more.  I love this final sweet photo before the train arrived.  Thank you Chris and Jess for a whirlwind tour of your favorite NYC spots, and for your generosity all afternoon.  See you soon!
