I cannot tell you how excited I am to share this wedding with you.  Not only are Lara and Jessie two of the coolest people you’ll meet, but their gorgeous event was my first ever full scale gay wedding, and I’d been looking forward to it for months.  I’m trying to keep the chatter to a minimum this season, so that you can enjoy the pictures.  I started my day with Lara, who was the perfect picture of calm despite the torrential downpours going on outside.

In Jessie’s room it was madness.  Things were running a little behind schedule, but there is always time for Chinese food … especially when I get some too!  🙂

One of my favorite moments of the day was when Jessie – only half-jokingly – demanded a hand massage while her makeup was being applied.  She then proclaimed herself as official bridezilla of the day.  Fantastic!  (I should also note that this could not be further from the truth … there were no bridezillas anywhere near this wedding!)

Back to Lara’s room in time for her putting on her dress.  She looked so gorgeous!

The rain kept us inside for the first look – luckily the lobby at the Element Lexington was bright and modern.  Happy days!

I had a field day with the details … Jessie looked so dapper in her suit and ascot:

Lara’s something old was also her something borrowed and something blue … a Lebanese tradition, I believe.  She pinned it to the inside of her dress.

I love that each member of the bridal party wore something different … doing this in black is a great way to tie everything together without it looking stuffy.
