Butternut Farm Wedding: Liz + Jim Preparations

Jul 7, 2010 | Weddings

Friday was the start of my holiday weekend, and it went off with a bang; Liz and Jim are not only two of the loveliest people you’ll ever meet, they also know how to party … ohhhh yes!  I started the afternoon at Liz’s parents’ house in Acton, MA for some quick getting ready shots and portraits.  One of the bridesmaids had kindly lined up the dresses for me before I even arrived, and they looked so cute all in a row!

The vibrant bouquets of Gerbera daisies were provided by the lovely Carolyn at Twigs & Sprigs in Concord, MA.

After getting into their dresses, the girls headed outside with me for some group photos.  My favorites are always the more candid shots …

I loved how beautifully Liz and Jim incorporated red, white and blue for their Independence holiday weekend wedding; the flowers really popped against their dresses:

After some family photos I headed off to Maynard, where I met up with Jim, his family and groomsmen at the little church.  I grabbed a few shots of them putting on their boutonnieres … love the big smiles and laughs here:

We ended our pre-ceremony photos with some group shots at the back of the church:

Photos from the wonderful ceremony will be along shortly – watch this space!
