Wellesley College Wedding: Catherine + Theis Preparations

Jun 22, 2010 | Weddings

On Saturday I hopped over to Wellesley, MA for a sweet daytime wedding at beautiful Wellesley College.  Catherine is an alumnus of Wellesley, along with her bridesmaids and many of her other close friends, and it was at a woodworking class at MIT through Wellesley that she met Theis.  It’s a beautiful setting for a wedding, and when you’re working with 87 degrees of hot, hot heat you’re all the more grateful for the lush trees all over the campus!

We started with some getting ready photos in Catherine’s tiny room at the College Club:

I adored Catherine’s sweet ruffled shoes … and she made the lovely belts above by hand for her three bridesmaids.  Catherine was chaneling a French movie star in these photos below … her mom is French, so it’s in the genes.  🙂

I grabbed a few photos of the guys in the lobby downstairs; I love the photo of Theis and his mom, just after she’d pinned on his boutonniere:

We held their first look at the back of the College Club … Catherine was crazy with excitement!

I love the time immediately following the first look – Catherine and Theis are beaming, and it’s all totally natural.  Cute!

Their ceremony teasers will follow in the next couple of days …

  1. I don’t normally say that I like women’s hair, but I love her hair! Those shots of her getting her hair ready are so glamorous! Well done!

  2. I love it too … and Catherine exudes that wonderful glamor that only the French can. So much fun to photograph. 🙂
