My first springtime Boston engagement session was very fun. I met up with Amy and Jon at their home in South Boston and we all headed off together for a whirlwind photo tour of the city. We started in one of their favorite spots (and one of mine I should add), Boston’s pretty South End. The fresh green buds and blossoms contrasted beautifully with the rich red brick, and I love all the shots we got in the back streets and on the steps. Jon and Amy were positively glowing all afternoon; what a treat for me to photograph!
Next up was the area around the ICA. I hadn’t been here before and I immediately fell in love with the building (I’d love to come back for another session here – any volunteers?!) Amy’s blue dress looked so vibrant against the silver planters with their bright green grasses.
I had fun getting up close and personal while Amy peeped over Jon’s shoulder. 🙂
Another thing I loved at the ICA were the huge wooden steps at the back of the building. I also like that you can’t tell how crazy busy it was back there in these photos!
After the ICA we grabbed a few shots further along the harbor walk. It’s a great view of downtown Boston there, and the little umbrella-covered table made a cute setting for a little series of photos. We ended our session back in Southie, this time at the beach. We brought along their golden retriever Hannah for these photos and I went a little crazy snapping away at her … she is a really beautiful doggy (and quite the lover too).
