The State Room in Boston is one of my all-time favorite venues, and it was such a treat to be back there with one of my all-time sweetest couples for a beautiful and incredibly fun wedding earlier this month. Lynette and Chris got ready at the Intercontinental Hotel, and I started my day in the girls’ room, photographing Lynette’s beautiful details, and the girls as they were getting ready.
Such pretty details … and I love the invitations featuring the Custom House Clock Tower which can be seen from the State Room’s Great Room:
I popped in to see Chris too – he was all excited smiles:
This is one of my favorite photos from the day; I love Lynette’s expression here as she heads over to Post Office Square for the first look.
Chris’ reaction was perfect!
After the first look, we picked up the rest of the wedding party and hit a few spots around town for some fun and relaxed portraits:
I love Beacon Hill for wedding party photos … all that beautiful red brick *sigh* …
Some more sweet couples portraits of Chris and Lynette:
When we got back to the State Room, the wedding party hid away and I captured guests arriving. There was a lot of hugging going on, and a lot of laughter. I loved this group!
The ceremony was held in the Great Room – thanks to my superstar second shooter Erica who got the awesome wide shot of the ceremony from above.
There were some really cute moments during the ceremony:
One of my favorite ceremony photos:
As cocktail hour was taking place on the mezzanine level, the Great Room was transformed into a beautiful reception space. The gorgeous florals were by one of my very favorite florists, New Leaf Flores out of JP, and the uplighting was provided by August Silva at Entertainment Specialists – he was an absolute gem and I highly recommend working with him on lighting your event.
So much gorgeousness!
Lynette and Chris opened dinner with their sweet first dance:
Another awesome shot by Erica:
Throughout dinner there were some really wonderful toasts:
Lynette and her dad shared a very fun father-daughter dance:
And the rest of the night was filled with dancing – such a great party crowd!
My favorite part of the night was the conga line started by one of Lynette’s fabulous bridesmaids. LOVE this!
Thank you all for an amazing day. And a special shout-out to the super awesome guest who rescued one of my speedlights when it came crashing down during the parent dances (I was a little tied up at the time, photographing the dances, and this very kind gentleman picked up the pieces and looked after them for me until I could fix it!) Anyway, I hope you’ve all enjoyed the teasers – please leave a comment below and tell me your favorites!
