Last weekend, I was up in the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire for a wedding … and it so happens that on the edge of those beautiful White Mountains is where one of my fabulous winter wedding couples, Robby and Christina, currently live. Robby works in the admissions department at a private school there, and he and Christina live on-site in one of the dorms. It was really fun getting to visit their home, and it reminded me of my brief spell at a boarding school back in my late teens.
About 20 yards from their front door is a gorgeous trail through the woods that surround the school – and thank goodness because our session started at midday, not the easiest time to photograph!
These guys spend a lot of time running and hiking, and one of their favorite places to run is the Christmas tree farm a mile or two down the road from the school. Robby had seen an old storage barn that he thought might make a good spot for photos … Christina wasn’t totally convinced, but it turned out that the light was quite beautiful in there and these became some of my favorite shots from our session:
A couple of other neat spots around the property:
Usually when I trespass during engagement sessions and weddings, it’s with the knowledge that I am doing so. Not so this time … these logs belong to a very kind lady who allowed us to finish up our photos before moving on …
For the last few photos, we wanted to involve Christina and Robby’s super sweet and totally gorgeous pup, Gus. I am pretty much in love with this little guy …
Thank you both so much for a really fun session, and for the burrito recommendation for my long journey home! I can’t wait to document your wedding in January!
