WELLESLEY COLLEGE CLUB WEDDING: STEPH + ADAM

Jul 30, 2012 | Weddings

Steph and Adam’s sweet wedding at Wellesley College Club was over two weeks ago at this point – so I want to start by thanking them for their patience during my busiest time of the year! Wellesley College Club is nestled in the beautiful grounds of Wellesley College, and although it’s actually just off the main road, it feels like you’re deep in the countryside. It was a perfect fit for Steph and Adam’s very green, rustic, and natural wedding.

The day started off a little dark and stormy – which gave us the most beautiful, soft light upstairs in the library where Steph and her bridesmaids were getting ready:

Adam’s ring was handcrafted by Polkadile on Etsy – and she’s actually based in Jamaica Plain, near me. Steph and Adam chose a leaf from the tree under which they were getting married, and Polkadile created the ring using the impression of the leaf in the silver. Perfect!

There were lots of smiles and a ton of laughter as Steph got into her beautiful Pronovias dress from La Reine Bridal Boutique in Waltham:

We held the first look on the little bridge across the lawn from the College Club. I love this spot, and I adore this next photo that my awesome assistant Erica took!

After spending a little time down by the bridge, we headed up to the quad for some photos with the bridal party. The green doors were perfect for the wedding’s green theme. The gorgeous flowers were by one of my very favorite florists, Nicole Pirani at Blooms of Hope:

The guys looked awesome in their tuxes, and I loved that Adam had a “best woman”, his sister Jeni who flew in from Australia for the wedding!

Some wedding details … the green paddle fans and bottles of water for guests were so thoughtful – it was hot out!

Steph was walked down the aisle by both of her parents – I love this!

The ceremony was quite emotional, and contained some wonderfully unique elements: there were seven blessings, read by members of the bridal party, and there was also a handfasting ceremony.

So much emotion …

… and a very happy couple once it was all over!

Cocktail hour was held on the patio at the back of the College Club. It was such a pretty spot, and the light was glorious.

The reception was held back inside, on the first floor of the Club. I have to give a special shout-out here to Erica Trombetti of Infinite Events who was absolutely amazing to work with. She was completely on top of everything and so much fun to be around too. I *highly* recommend her services!

Adam and Steph opened the reception with their first dance – and they were beaming throughout – perfect! I absolutely love this first moment that Erica captured:

Before dinner there were three heartfelt toasts, including this one by the wonderful maid of honor, Sarah:

And just one last photo from after dinner of the sweet father-daughter dance. Lots more fun reception photos coming in the gallery, of course! Thank you all for such a warm welcome, and a lovely, relaxed, beautiful day. I hope you’ve enjoyed the teaser photos!
