After a week of crazy wind, torrential downpours and winter chills, Saturday opened up into the most glorious fall day, the perfect day for a wedding. Courtney and Darren got married in a short but sweet evening ceremony at Les Zygomates restaurant in Boston’s Leather District, but photos started much earlier in the day, as I joined Courtney and her fabulous ladies at the Will Charles Salon on Newbury Street. The salon was buzzing with bridal parties, and the light in there was incredible.
After a quick lunch break, I rejoined the ladies at the W Hotel. I loved the corner suite they had on the 12th floor … the light, textures and cool decor made for some great backgrounds for the detail shots:
There was a ton of time to play with, so Courtney and the girls relaxed with Kir Royales … and upstairs the guys were doing the same with beers. 🙂
Darren had some neat gifts for his groomsmen, including a very cool set of silver USB cufflinks (love!) While I was with the guys, I took what are likely my all-time favorite ring detail shots – got to love those chess boards at the W.
Then, it was back down to Courtney’s room for some getting-into-the-dress photos …
… and back up to the 14th floor to get some photos of Darren and the guys pinning on their boutonnieres:
I can’t even begin to tell you how in love I was with the florals by New Leaf Flores (a fellow Jamaica Plain company). And of course, there are TONS more photos to come from this gorgeous fall wedding – so check back throughout the week!
Kate, these are beautiful! Thank you so much for being there to capture all of these moments — you are the best! Can’t wait to see the rest!
Thank you Courtney 🙂
