A couple of weeks ago, I headed down to NYC to meet Alexandra and Sen for the very first time, and to photograph their engagement session. We met up in the South Street Seaport district and spent the next three hours getting to know each other, and exploring a couple of their favorite New York spots. We had the most beautiful afternoon for our explorations, and I quickly fell for this sweet couple and the places they chose for their session.
The South Street Seaport is a new neighborhood to me, and I loved the mix of classic red brick, and the funkier modern touches around the neighborhood. As we were heading over to the pier, I spotted a brightly colored wall next to a funky little bar, and thought it would make a fun background for some photos. And the view of Brooklyn from the pier is just awesome.
Our next stop was Central Park which was crazy crowded (a bright afternoon in November really brings people out to play – who knew?!) I’m so happy that we found some great spots without too many extras in sight. Our final photo location was Battery Park City. We were beginning to lose light, and I wanted a spot with a gorgeous sunset view … I think we made the right choice! Thank you both for a super fun afternoon, it was such a treat getting to know you, and I am beyond excited for your wedding in the spring!
Wow! We love how our pictures turned out, great job Kate! Thank you for making the trip down to NYC! Can’t wait to do it again at the wedding!
Yay! Thank you Alexandra! I can’t wait to see your save the date card. 🙂
