Intimate Backyard Wedding: B&S

Aug 21, 2020 | Intimate Weddings & Elopements

B&S got married on the wettest day of the summer; but cloudy skies and pouring rain didn’t stop the joy from radiating from the couple and their families who celebrated with a beautiful backyard ceremony and tented reception.

I started with a few final getting ready photos; I love that everyone pitched in to prep the ceremony area by wiping down chairs.

S’s face is perfect as he watches B and her father walk down the aisle. He was really emotional!

S’s sister began the ceremony – I love the belly laughs here.

B’s brother took over with the officiating for the vows and ring exchange – he was officially ordained for the day.

Hugs are just about my favorite thing on a wedding day – especially since Covid-19 started. I have really missed seeing and experiencing hugs!

While rain is never something you’d hope for on your wedding day, I have to admit that it makes for really great photos, and an incredibly memorable day. I loved capturing these unique moments and hope that S&B are able to remember the uncooperative weather with some fondness.

A tented first dance, and father-daughter dance – so sweet.

And then there was a brief break from the downpours and a beautiful rainbow appeared. What a moment!

Love this one of B’s mom dancing with S’s nephew, giddy after seeing the sun break through briefly!
