Libby and Tom’s beautiful albums arrived yesterday and I’m so excited to share them here. Libby and Tom chose a classic, rich silk shantung in navy blue for their main Signature album, and two contrasting fabrics for their upgraded parent albums.
The Signature album features a plain cover with name and date imprinting in a classic, clean, sans-serif font with blind embossing. I love how subtle and classic it looks, especially with the preppy dark blue. The upgraded parent albums are in Lip-Lock, a super fun, rich dark red silk, and Shady, a cool gray linen-style fabric. They look both classic and modern – perfect!
You can see the difference in page thickness when you look at the albums from above; although all three albums have exactly the same design and page count, the Signature albums are almost twice the thickness because the photographic pages are mounted onto cardboard, then bound. For the parent books, there is no cardboard; instead, the pages are simply mounted back-to-back.
All photos are by my awesome new intern Madeleine. Thank you Madeleine!
