On Saturday, I headed across the river to Cambridge for Shana + Rob’s sweet wedding. They had given me a really relaxed timeline for the day (thank you guys!) and it was a rare treat not feeling like I was rushing around like crazy. 🙂 I started off in Shana’s room, where she and Rob were finishing up lunch together (love that!) Some details first – including the gorgeous bouquets by Coady Florist, and Shana’s cute Kate Spade kitten heels:
Shana did her own makeup:
Shana’s sister Kate joined us, and helped Shana into her dress. Kate’s funky purple dress was from ModCloth – which reminded me that I have a gift certificate for the store so guess what I did yesterday? 🙂
Shana was worried about her hair in the humidity, so I tried to find ways to reduce our time outdoors. The lobby on the third floor of The Charles Hotel was a great spot for their first look.
After some group photos inside, we headed out for a super speedy photo session with the bridal party (Rob’s brother Rusty and Shana’s sister Kate). It turned out that the following pictures took all of eight and a half minutes to take!
The Swedenborg Chapel in Cambridge is cute as a button:
There was a slight snafu with the school buses that were bringing guests from the hotel to the chapel (Cambridge traffic on a Saturday afternoon …), but guests were in high spirits, and this little guy was doing a great job handing out the programs:
Rob told me later that he was SUPER nervous at the beginning of the ceremony. 🙂
And if you were a little confused about the kind of ceremony it was – don’t be. Shana is Jewish and Rob Christian, so they had a Jewish ceremony with secular readings in a Christian church. Perfect!!
A couple more photos from the ceremony to finish up … and the lovely reception back at The Charles Hotel will be along in a couple of days, so watch this space! And if you haven’t already, please come over and like my Facebook page.
Loooove the purple dress! So cute.
