BOSTON ESPLANADE + FENWAY PARK ENGAGEMENT SESSION: EMILY + MIKE

Jun 28, 2011 | Engagements

Last week, I got to meet up with one of my 2012 wedding couples for their engagement session.  Emily and Mike were in town from Charlottesville, VA where they currently live, and it was our first time meeting.  It was actually somewhat disastrous; I met them in the wrong place, causing us to start our private Fenway tour late (way to make a great first impression), and then halfway through the tour the heavens opened and we had to put the rest of the session on hold.  Eek!  Luckily, our second meeting, the following Monday morning, was just perfect.  Anyway, enough talk – here are Emily and Mike (and yes, I squealed with joy when I saw Emily’s beautiful red hair!)

Some photos from Yawkey Way, and in front of the Citgo sign (these were taken on sunny Monday in case you hadn’t guessed):

Inside Fenway Park … They’re no longer letting people take photos on top of the dugout (so sad) but we did manage to sneak in a few photos leaning on it instead:

The Green Monster is always a hit for Fenway Park engagement pics:

We took a few photos sitting in Emily’s parents’ seats:

One of my favorite photos from Friday’s session was this one in front of the vintage Red Sox sign. We also got a hilarious series with Mike and Emily doing an awesome dance/walk, but I shall spare them the humiliation of making them public 😉

Many thanks to Christina Kotseas at Fenway for taking us on the tour – it was great fun hanging out with you!

Monday’s session focused on the Esplanade. It’s such a pretty spot for photos and we were blessed with gorgeous light:

One of my favorite shots of me and my husband looks a little like this one – Emily and Mike, what do you think?

Loving this vista of Cambridge across the Charles River:

And a final couple of shots with a red door in Beacon Hill:

Thank you both so much for two really fun shoots, and I hope you like the teasers! I can’t wait for your wedding at the Exchange Conference Center next year.
