FOUR SEASONS BOSTON WEDDING: PATTY + NATE PART THREE

May 31, 2011 | Weddings

After the sweet ceremony at the Old South Church in Boston, we all headed back to the gorgeous Four Seasons Hotel for a very fun reception.  Fiona and Emilie from Pink Orchid Weddings were amazing to work with; as well as creating a beautiful reception setup, they were relaxed and fun the entire evening, and made sure everything ran super smoothly.  I highly recommend their day-of wedding coordination services!  Here are some shots of the setup – Aujourd’hui at the Four Seasons makes a stunning reception room:

Patty and Nate went straight into their first dance when the reception opened. They were all big smiles:

There were a number of great toasts (which made me super happy because toasts are THE best time to get great candids of your guests), but one toast stole the show for me: Laurie’s wonderful mother of the groom toast. It was both wildly funny and incredibly emotional – it ended with her saying to Patty, “thank you for loving my son”. I’m pretty sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the house at that point.

After dinner, there were the parent dances (love the emotion here) …

… and then the party really started! Beat Train Productions DJ Pete O’Karma was great to work with and had the dance floor pumping all night:

And my fantastic (and totally over-qualified) second shooter Leah Haydock ran the photobooth for me in the bar – love these photos! You should also stop by Leah’s blog later in the week to take a peek at her take on the day. 🙂

Thank you all for a super fun wedding; I hope you’ve enjoyed the teaser posts; the full set will be available very soon (just ask Patty or Nate for the link to the full gallery).
