Jackie and Tim’s reception was held back in the Dome Room at the Arctic Club in Seattle. Before heading inside to grab detail shots I took these portraits of Jackie and Tim in one of the little archways in the hotel entrance. Such a neat spot!
Like so much of the day, Jackie and Tim had put a lot of time and thought into making their reception very personal. The blue lemon drops were made in honor of Grandpa Chuck – a sweet and fun memorial. They also had a memory table to pay tribute to previous generations’ marriages, and they asked guests to write down predictions, memories and wishes for the couple as they start their life together.
There were so many great details at this wedding … I especially loved the art deco cake (matching the style of the Arctic Club), and Jackie’s awesome seating chart … seriously, how fun is that?!
The first dances were chock full of sweet moments, both on and off the dancefloor:
The toasts were funny – and long (this makes me so happy as a photographer as it means I can get tons of great candid shots of guests enjoying themselves).
There were too many great moments to include everything here (such as the performance of Seasons of Love from RENT), but I had to include a few photos of the bouquet toss. Love it. 🙂
Thank you all so much for a wonderful visit back to Seattle!
Once again, amazing. It has been a complete joy all week to watch the wedding unfold day by day. We can’t thank you enough for all the hardwork. The bouquet toss still cracks me up too. The lighting is beautiful and I don’t even remember the extra lights going off when you took photos. We can’t wait to see the rest – it will be an exciting day when they arrive in the mail. Know we’re forever grateful of you, your talents and the dedication and love you put into your work.
Awww, thanks for making me well up Jackie. 🙂 Can’t wait to share the full set with you all. Thanks again for a beautiful day, and for looking after me so well.
We will treasure these memories through your photos for many years to come. Thank you Kate!
Love these photos! They really captured the mood of that day. Fantastic!
