Diptych day is a weekly personal project that I’m doing with Seattle wedding photographer Amelia Soper. After a nice easy start last week with green, we decided to take it up a notch this week with fish. I had a hard time with this; grand plans involved fish markets and ponds and rivers, but after struggling to make it work I turned instead to my pantry. And although some sardines were harmed in the making of my image, they died a worthy death (they are now filling my belly, yum!)
I love Amy’s image, on the left this week – beautiful, colorful, painterly – and I love the contrast between the two images, both aesthetically and conceptually.
I love how different they are this week, especially after you both had the same kind of thought on last weeks photos!
What a great idea and a fun thing to do with a friend!
I love seeing our shots together this week! SO much different than last. I am super excited to see what we come up with next week… eeeee!
