Wow, so Saturday’s wedding up in beautiful Snohomish was pretty much my idea of photographic heaven. I’ve been itching to get these images up on the blog to show you all! I don’t even know where to start – there was just so much good stuff about every part of the day … The venue, Jardin del Sol, is gorgeous and I love the set-up. There’s a very natural flow through the grounds for the different parts of the day, and the ceremony lawn is killer. The owner, Melanie, is a dream to work with – although she doesn’t officially coordinate the events, she was really helpful throughout, helping the guys with their boutonnieres, getting events moving and being generally awesome to have around.
Teryl and Hunter were … amazing. Look how gorgeous they are! They were so much fun to work with – their bridal party, too – and they were both on emotional rollercoasters the whole day: huge grins and many giggles during the getting ready and portraits, then tears during the ceremony, toasts and first dances. Love it. Some other highlights for me were going to King Charley’s burger shack for a few fun bridal party photos … the perfectly delightful bridal suite (white walls and mirrors and lots of natural light, hurray!) … the adorable flower girls and ring bearer (check out the girls up to no good during the ceremony) … fab party music from Sounds Unlimited … the amazing non-matching bouquets and bouts (I really loved this idea) … and the most emotional toasts I’ve heard in a long time. Kate!!! These photos are FABULOUS! I cried on our honeymoon when I saw the teasers but the slideshow wouldn’t work on the cheap computer I was on, so when I got home from the honeymoon I watched the slideshow and cried (again). You were an absolute joy to work with and hang out with on our wedding day and made everyone feel at ease. I knew the photos would be great but you blew me away.
