On Sunday, I went somewhere completely new for Heather and Gage’s engagement session: the beautiful park at Point Defiance, just outside Tacoma. Heather was my first 2009 wedding booking, but I hadn’t met Gage before Sunday. It was so much fun hanging out with them and getting to know them! We’re planning to meet again for some more “industrial” photos around Seattle in August, so this is really Heather and Gage Part One …
We started at the rose garden near the park entrance. If only there had been blue skies this archway would have been perfect!
I often ask couples to act as if I’m not there and talk and kiss and do whatever they do … Gage and Heather were such naturals at this.
After the roses, we went on a mission to find a patch of daisies …
After a while we headed down to the beach. It is so beautiful down there – huge chunks of driftwood, pretty pebbles, and water that looks like you might be somewhere a little more glamorous than the Pacific Northwest!
Heather found some cool rusty metal for her ring shot:
And at the end of the afternoon, the sun finally peeked out and bathed us in that beautiful golden light that I love. Thanks Heather and Gage for a beautiful afternoon, and see you for Part Two in a few weeks!
