On Friday September 14th, I was back at the Hollywood Schoolhouse, photographing April & Dan’s wedding. It was a sweet, small and very informal affair, and after the ceremony and group photos, we headed to the tiny village of Maltby for the reception at Maltby Community Club. I was impressed to see how much of the day was put together by the couple and their friends; April and her girls arranged and tied all of the flowers, the Maid of Honor was in charge of hair & makeup, and Dan used his catering background to lay on a full dinner buffet. They even cleaned up the reception hall at the end of the afternoon – before leaving in their newly modified and decorated car (Dan’s friends rigged up the horn so that it beeped every time they used the left indicator!)
Here are some of my favorite images from the day. We were unlucky with the weather – it was that famous Seattle gray known to us photographers as ‘the North West soft box’, but at least it didn’t rain! And I love all the shots around the Schoolhouse – it’s such a pretty venue, even when the sun is hiding away.
I love these pictures soo much!! If you remember I was the MOH at the wedding and I can honestly say I was very impressed by your skill and eye for a good shot!
can’t wait to see the rest!!!
