Photographing my first Boston Public Library wedding last June was one of the highlights of my summer (if you’ve ever set foot inside you’ll understand why – it’s such an incredible space) and it was a treat getting to relive the day when Kate and Dan’s beautiful flush mount Signature album arrived from the binder a few days ago. This thing is gorgeous!
Kate and Dan upgraded to a 27 spread album that really tells the story of their wedding day with a clean design and a ton of favorite photos. It’s one of my favorite designs from the past year. They chose to add a cover cameo image, a sweet black and white candid image from just after the first look, and forgo the optional cover imprinting. I usually recommend just one or the other and their choice looks stylish and modern.
The cover material is absolutely fantastic: a thick, velvety soft nubuck leather in “fog” – it looks and feels a little like suede, but much thicker and softer, with a larger grain. It is sumptuous.
Underneath Kate and Dan’s album in many of the photos is a sample album that I ordered recently. It is also a 10×10 flush mount Signature album, but in the standard leather option and “naval blue” colorway. I’ll be blogging this album in a few weeks, so keep an eye out if you’d like to see some more wedding album photos.
