how much does photojournalistic Boston wedding photography cost?
My pricing is super simple: I offer an hourly rate for my services, and an hourly rate if you’d like to add a second photographer. Everything else is available a la carte so that you’re purchasing only the things that are important to you. You also have the option to add albums / books later (your first anniversary is a great time to gift your partner a beautiful wedding album, as this anniversary is traditionally “paper”).
My hourly pricing includes the high resolution JPEG images which you can print yourself. You also have the option to order prints, cards, and other goodies directly from your modern and easy to navigate client gallery.
I also include a slideshow of highlight images a week or so after your wedding. I include my favorite photos that tell the story of the day, with a focus on storytelling / documentary images.
Many couples add rehearsal dinner coverage, especially if they are having a destination wedding (Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, etc.) I only accept two weddings per month, so if you reserve my services for a Saturday, I will also be available for any additional coverage that weekend – it’s something you can add on later in other words.
Coverage by international award winning Boston wedding photographer Kate McElwee starts at $7500 for in-season dates (May through November). Most couples working with Kate invest upwards of $9000 in their wedding photography. Please contact Kate for full pricing, and to custom build a collection that fits your needs.
“Kate, We are still MARVELING at the beautiful collection of images you managed to capture from our wedding! We could not be happier! Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know us before the wedding. The photos perfectly reflect the ‘feel’ of our ceremony (and celebration!) We have so many favorites, and I especially appreciate that you captured so many special moments between us, and our families and friends. You are an amazingly talented artist and we feel so lucky that we found you! Count us in the Kate McElwee fan club! Thanks again for everything.”
