On Sunday morning, bright and early, I headed across to Snoqualmie to meet Mandy and Josh for their engagement session. It was the first time they’d been back together to the spot where Josh proposed, and I’m so glad they chose this special place for our photo session.
After a false-start by the falls (I was not at all happy about the safety fence that was blocking the amazing view!) we drove into the tiny town for some cute vintage-style shots with the old trains and in the pretty streets. I fell in love with a green wall in one of the back streets, especially with Mandy’s super-cute white & orange outfit against it. My favorite photos from the town were with the trains though – and I gave Josh and Mandy a good workout, with lots of jumping and clambering and hanging!
After we had decided that the weather would probably hold for a while, we headed back to the falls and hiked down to the very bottom. This is where Josh had asked Mandy to marry him, and I love that you can see the emotion in their smiles. Mandy had brought along a few umbrellas by Bella Umbrella; they were perfect against the magnificent backdrop of Snoqualmie Falls.
After a lunch break we returned to Seattle for a few last photos – with cherry blossoms of course! They took me to their favorite spot in the arboretum and I was blown away by the display of blossoms. I think this is my new favorite spring photo location!Β We got tons of great shots, but here are a few of my very favorite photos. Enjoy!

It’s a tossup between the waterfall kiss shot and the waterfall hug shot for my favorite. Both are the awesome!!! π Nice set!
Waterfall kiss shot is my fave. Also really like the red + green (3 down, & 6 down) house images above. All of them are fantastic though, great work. =]
6, ,12, 14 are my favorites. These are all great though. You both just look so happy in those ones, to me. xoxo
These are great! The waterfall shots are great (with the wind blowing Mandy’s hair), but I also really like the one where she’s leaning her head on his shoulder against the wall. Really really nice. π
Although I think they are all wonderful my vote goes in this order- #13, #14, #23, #4
Fabulous pictures Josh and Mandy! My favorites are the waterfall pictures 13 and 14. What a good looking couple!!
Kate! You are amazing! Everyone is so impressed with these photos, and now we just can’t wait to see what great photos you’ll take at the wedding! (No pressure or anything…) π
I’m still deciding on a great one to include in the invitation, but these are all SO special…there’s no way to pick a favorite!
LOVE the feet shot! That’s the one, in my opinion. So simple and different. What a great waterfall. I want to go jump in it (granted, it’s probably not as warm up there yet as it’s getting down here).
GORGEOUS photos of a gorgeous couple. Congrats, Mandy and Josh! π
