It’s been another seriously crazy weekend here – three engagement sessions and counting! I started on Friday afternoon at the UW campus for Lindsay and Dave’s photo session. They wanted to catch the cherry blossoms in bloom, and although the weather was pretty miserable the blossoms were as beautiful as ever. We ended up with about ten minutes there before the heavens opened and we hurried off to location two.
I’ve photographed at Hotel Deca before, but never in the lobby area – it’s such a fun space! There were all kinds of cool light fixtures, and a gorgeous fire where we were able to warm up and dry off a bit. Lindsay and Dave were excited about the space as they’ll be holding their wedding reception there in December.
Our final stop was downtown, for some shots outside their favorite restaurant, Le Pichet. It’s such a cute place and according to Dave and Lindsay the roast chicken is to die for (it’s next on my long list of places to eat in Seattle). While there we spotted a cool wall outside a bar across the street, so we took a few more photos there, and then around the corner in what must be Seattle’s coolest parking lot (love that blue wall with all the rust!) Thanks Lindsay and Dave for a fun session, and for keeping cheerful despite the miserable weather!
Hey Kate, amazing photos! Awesome job! Keep it up girl!
These are so sweet, Kate! Your timing was perfect…cherry blossoms first…then find cover during the rain for more beautiful shots! Wonderful job. : )
