Nipa and Jordan live in NYC, and that is a fact that makes me very sad. Because it is a long way from Boston, and these guys are one of the most wonderful, hilarious, smart, sweet and ridiculous couples I have ever met. I love them. And I LOVED their wedding – another two day multicultural affair (do you see why I’m behind with my blogging now?) Nipa and Jordan got married at the beautiful Fruitlands Museum out in Harvard, MA, and again at the Boston Marriott Cambridge the following day (and from my recent Facebook stalking it looks like they did it AGAIN in India too – wow!) It was an absolutely glorious warm October day – an Indian Summer in fact, perfect for this western-Indian celebration.
I started my day at the Marriott with Nipa, her bridesmaid, her sister and her mom. I might have shrieked a little when I saw these fabulous purple shoes … and the utterly amazeballs cake toppers that Nipa had spent 5+ hours fashioning from the remnants from her and Jordan’s wedding outfits:
Hair and makeup were a family affair; Nipa’s sister did a beautiful job of her makeup:
Once hair and makeup were complete, everyone headed over to Fruitlands for the final preparations. The bridal room there is super cute, and I love the images we captured:
Nicole Pirani of Blooms of Hope provided the gorgeous flowers. I really liked how the bouquets felt like gathered wildflowers … but with structure. 🙂 I also love bouquets that include a good amount of foliage. Pretty!
After a quick champagne toast, it was time for Nipa to get dressed. Her beautiful lace gown was from Saks Jandel.
Once Nipa was ready to go, I headed down to the groom’s room to meet up with Jordan and the guys. Jordan had a suit custom tailored for him by Mr. Ned in NYC. It was pretty awesome. I believe this is something that all guys should treat themselves to at least once. There’s just nothing like a custom suit!
The first look, as I had predicted, was hilarious. Because Nipa had to circle in front of Jordan, we asked Jordan to close his eyes. So as Nipa walked around, Jordan’s hands were reaching out into the air, as if he was feeling for her. Also – what a great reaction, from the both of them!
I am in love with Jordan’s striped socks. They showed personality and they blended perfectly with the color scheme. Thank you Jordan for your impeccable taste and sense of humor!
We spent a little time taking some cute couples portraits:
Nipa, you looked absolutely phenomenal in your wedding dress, with your perfect hair and makeup.
A last couple of photos to end Part One of this three-parter. Thank you so much for your patience, and I’ll have more teaser photos coming very soon! And if you’d like to be the first to know when the next post goes up, follow me on Facebook here … or contact me here!
OH again just absolutely stunning! I love the adorable “self” cake toppers, the purple shoes (my fav color!) and his striped socks! They look like a fantastic couple who are absolutely stunning!
