These international wedding photography contests are getting tougher and tougher, and when I was browsing the winning images last night I was really blown away by the quality of the photos, the level of creativity on show, and the skill of the photographers who placed photos this time around. I was also very surprised – and incredibly happy – to discover that I had two wins of my own, both in the Details category.

The first photo came in sixth (pretty damn great!) and is from Leah and Jason’s Belle Mer wedding in Newport, RI this fall. When I heard that the guys all had fun socks, I knew I had to show them off, and I really liked how this graphic image came together.

The second photo is now a double award winner, having also placed in the last WPJA contest in the Details Found category. This is from Katie and Kraig’s beautiful and rainy Lenox Hotel Boston wedding, also this past October. You can find more of my award winning photos right here.

I seem to be really good at photographing feet, judging by these two award winning images. Ha.
