On Saturday, I photographed a wedding that I’d been looking forward to for ages; not only are Lito and Julio the sweetest couple you could ever hope to meet, they also had two gorgeous venues and some really awesome vendors.  We all met up at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in West Seattle for some pre-ceremony group photos.  Julio and Lito decided not to see each other before the ceremony, but the basement rooms at the church made it very workable, and I had fun taking it in turns with the various groupings, popping outside every time the sun came out.  I have to say, I am in love with those white uniforms – what a treat to have the guys looking just as cute as the girls!

The ceremony was fabulously long (I love Catholic masses!) and the church was breathtakingly beautiful.  You hopefully can’t tell from the photos, but it was actually pretty dark in there (2500 ISO, f/2.8 at 1/40th for any photographers out there) and my tripod came in very handy.  No flash during the ceremony, of course …

After mass, we headed down to Hamilton Viewpoint for a couple of wedding party photos, but it was freezing cold and mighty blustery, so I suggested heading to the reception venue for couple photos.  And what a gorgeous place it was!  The Sanctuary at Admirable is beautiful even before you add decorations, but with the bright green and white decor it was spectacular.  After couples portraits and cocktail hour there was some delicious food by Herban Feast, followed by some wonderfully emotional toasts (I counted at least ten tearful speakers and guests!) and then lots of fun dancing and a little photoboothing.  Huge thanks to Fiona for her assistance (I worked her hard this week), to Stacey Jehlik for coordinating everything so beautifully, and last but not least to Jojo and DJ Tecumseh at Bamboo Beats for the awesome music.  Oh, and congratulations, Lito and Julio – I hope you enjoy your teaser pics below, and your wedding day slideshow (click here).
