I’m off to Vegas tomorrow morning, but I wanted to share some photos from Alycia and Jacob’s gorgeous wedding this last weekend before leaving – and I know they’re dying to see their teasers! I met with the girls in the church basement early in the morning for a few getting ready shots. Just as they finished getting dressed, the sun started to come out and I was delighted to be able to photograph their first look and family photos outside. It wasn’t warm but I kept everyone moving and we got some great shots. Back inside, the ceremony was beautiful – and at one point very funny (it must be the first church wedding I’ve been to where there was a practical joke played with the rings!)
Around 1pm we all headed over to the Spirit of Washington Event Center in downtown Renton for the afternoon reception. There was some tasty food, fun speeches, and – finally! – an awesome cake-smashing moment, hurray! You’ll have to watch the slideshow to see what happened … After the main events were over, Fiona took control of the photobooth and I headed out into the late afternoon sunshine for some couples photos.
Thank you, Jacob and Alycia, for making me laugh non-stop all day – and congratulations!

Kate:
Once again, you took some absolutely AMAZING shots! We LOVE each and every one of our teasers. We can’t wait to see the rest of them. Thank you for making our day truly one to remember. We are so pleased with our teasers and we know the rest of our photos will be great 🙂 Thank you so much!!! Alycia and Jacob
Super work again Kate! Those are some beautiful shots!! I love the sunset bride and groom, and the bubbles. But my favorite is the bw little girl with glasses. Such a great shot!!
Hey, thanks guys! 🙂 It was a wonderful day – and it felt like a summer wedding in so many ways. Katie – you wouldn’t believe how many fun shots we got of the little flower girl – she was a total rockstar with the posing and clowning around. Such a doll!
