I recently rejoined the Wedding Photojournalists Association (WPJA) and was thrilled to place an image in the ‘Details Found’ category of their most recent contest.  This is a photo from a wedding I second shot for my friend Jenny DeMarco in Texas.  It was late night, near the end of the reception, and the groom and his guy friends were out back smoking some cigars.  There was a great atmosphere out there as the guys joked around, and I chatted for a bit to put them all at ease before I started clicking away.  This was my favorite image – I love how the groom in the background is framed by his friend’s cigar in the foreground – and you can see both smoke from the cigar and the cold night air coming from the groom – it was a pretty cold night by Texas standards!
