Every so often, I meet a couple that makes me run home to my husband after, saying “if those guys don’t book me to photograph their wedding, I will probably cry”. Shana and Mike were one of these couples – within seconds of meeting them at their amazing South End apartment, I knew I had to work with them. First up, they’re incredibly smart and super funny; I laughed all the way through our initial meeting. They made me feel relaxed and so welcome, and they were candid with me. Then, there’s the fact that they’re so into each other (which makes for wonderful photos) … and to top it all off they’re ridiculously cute. Shana’s legs are at least a mile long, and her smile is infectious. Mike rocks the most awesome beard and glasses combo, and the way his face scrunches up when he laughs is totally adorable. I’m a big fan!
Anyway, we started our session in their neighborhood, exploring the cute little streets and parks there.
There was a pretty fountain in their local park which I decided to shoot through – that’s what the “raindrops” are here:
I love their smiles, and how playful they are with each other:
A quieter moment here, to change things up:
And these two aren’t afraid to be totally silly. 🙂
And here’s the best part about my Shana and Mike discovery so far: they met at Santacon in NYC. In costume. Yes! So of course we had to pull out some Santa related clothing for a few photos and get silly:
Thank you so much Mike and Shana for your sense of fun, and for an awesome afternoon. And one final teaser from the end of our session, over at Millennium Park. Such a pretty evening!
