Just over two weeks ago, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing my first Tupper Manor wedding, with Lysa and Jason. The two cuties have been incredibly patient waiting for their blog post – I’ve been away on a mid-season sailing vacation, and am just now beginning to get caught up with editing and emails and all that fun stuff.
We had the most perfect day for a wedding – the air was a little cooler, with a crisp, almost fall feel, and it was bright and sunny with a few puffy white clouds in the sky. Perfect! Here’s their glorious venue:
I started this happy day with Lysa and her girls, in the small getting ready room at Tupper Manor on the North Shore. After photographing Lysa’s pretty details, I spent some time capturing the getting ready process. Everyone was in high spirits as I hope these photos show!
It was a treat working with the lovely Ligia who you can see here applying Lysa’s makeup:
A sweet moment between Lysa and one of her best friends as her bridesmaids helped her to get dressed. I think she was beginning to feel some wedding day butterflies here!
Lysa’s mom helped Lysa make the finishing touches to her beautiful look:
Downstairs in the pool room at Tupper, Jason and his groomsmen played a couple of games of pool. Love this!
Jason cracking up as his boutonniere is pinned – I love how expressive he is!
I’m a big fan of gray suits for the guys, and the awesome tie he and Lysa both picked out separately (seriously!) is the pièce de résistance:
Jason and Lysa chose not to have a first look, so the first time they saw each other was when Lysa walked down the aisle at their cute little church.
You can’t beat Jason’s expression here, seeing Lysa for the first time as a bride:
There were some really emotional moments during the ceremony:
And some funny moments too – the pastor was hilarious during the sermon!
The ring exchange:
Love this one of them exiting the church as husband and wife:
Back at Tupper Manor, we took some family formals, then some fun wedding party photos.
One of my favorites of Lysa and Jason walking between locations at their Tupper Manor wedding:
The reception was held in several connecting rooms on the main floor of Tupper Manor. My favorite room is the conservatory – it was absolutely gorgeous! And those bright colors really popped.
One of my favorite photos from the first dance:
Erica’s photo of one of the pre-dinner toasts:
One of my favorite things about a Tupper Manor wedding is that you sneak away to the beach for some portraits, as it’s just a short walk from the venue. I wanted to capture how playful Jason and Lysa are with each other, as well as create some romantic couples’ portraits.
Such cuties!!
After dinner came the parent dances. Jason and his mom had a really cute dance – I love her expression here:
Lysa’s dance with her father started in the traditional way … then they broke into a fast dance much to everyone’s surprise and delight!
We grabbed a few photos out by the fountain later in the evening:
And back inside the dance floor was crazy!
Thank you both so much for a wonderful day, and for being so much fun to photograph! And thanks too for your patience waiting for your teasers … I hope it was worth the wait! And one final favorite photo from the beach at Tupper Manor to end with:
