Around a week ago, I met up with the fabulous Alyssa and Bill for some beautiful fall engagement photos in Boston. It was my first time meeting them (they were both living out of town when they booked me) so I was super curious – and a little anxious. I always get really nervous that I’ll show up and my couples will think, “who IS this crazy goofball we’ve booked for our wedding?!” Well, maybe that’s exactly what these guys thought, but they were sweet enough not to say anything, and it was super fun getting to know them both over the course of the afternoon.
Alyssa and Bill are getting married in Boston next year (at my favorite venue in town, the State Room) and they met here during undergrad at Tuft’s. Alyssa moved back here over the summer for school, and Bill is currently working on his PhD in Philly … they also lived together in DC for a while. They will be one of the most well traveled and highly educated couples I’ve ever met by the time they finish their education in a few years! Anyway, I’m sure you’re here for the photos, so without further ado, here are some sweet portraits from the Public Garden:
We hit the perfect afternoon for gorgeous light and amazing colors in the trees. I’m beginning to understand why almost everyone wants their engagement photos taken at this time of year around here!
Bill and Alyssa love the North End, so we headed there next. I love this crazy art wall there – it’s a giant photo print of a vine … cool.
Some more cool light on the wall:
We made a super speedy stop at their favorite restaurant in the North End, Pomodoro. Although I haven’t been to the North End branch yet, the Brookline Village Pomodoro is my favorite Italian restaurant in all of Boston.
Our final stop was the waterfront. It was a beautiful sunset that evening, and we arrived just in time for that magical light you get just after the sun dips down.
One final sunset photo to end with. Thank you Alyssa and Bill for a super fun afternoon; it was really great getting to know you both, as well as exploring your favorite parts of Boston. I hope you enjoy the teasers!
So cute – their last few shots are where we got engaged 🙂
So beautiful, all of them. Impossible to chose just one.
Love them! I know the wedding photos will be perfect
Fantastic.
