Before I start sharing this sweet Evoo restaurant wedding in Cambridge, I want to apologize. I realize it’s been a little quiet on the blog recently, however that’s all about to change as it’s finally wedding season, and I’ve just photographed three fabulous weddings in the space of nine days! I also have some fun engagement sessions and personal projects coming up in the next few weeks, so I’m confident I’ll be sharing photos on a much more regular basis now.
Jessica and Andrew actually got married at City Hall in Cambridge back in December, and they chose to keep it completely private (no photos even!) but I was delighted when they asked me to document their small ceremony and restaurant reception in Cambridge just over a week ago. I met with them at their lovely home as Jessica was finishing up getting ready. She had an all-star team working on her, including hair stylist Jennifer Tawa and makeup artist Veronica Shin Kim. I love this photo of Veronica and Jessica:
It was all hands on deck getting Jessica into her beautiful lace gown and classic veil:
We didn’t set up a first look for Andrew and Jessica, so I was really glad I caught these sweet moments as they saw each other dressed for the first time, in their living room. Andrew was beaming!
We took a car over to Boston Public Garden for the portrait session. We’d actually hoped to stop at a few different locations, but traffic was insane, and our first photo stop was closed in preparation for the Boston Marathon. The Public Garden was perfect for a little wander though …
These two are such sweeties – I love how natural they are with each other.
The ceremony was held at the Swedenborg Chapel in Cambridge, just north of Harvard Yard. Jessica and Andrew chose to have a candlelit ceremony which was very pretty and quite romantic.
Their Korean priest was wonderful, and he gave the entire ceremony in both Korean and English!
After the short service, we headed over to EVOO Restaurant for the reception. I loved the bright colors, both the restaurant’s decor and the sunny tulips on each table.
Guests had a great time catching up with each other and nibbling on the delicious appetizers.
There were some great toasts, and then Andrew’s aunt sang a Korean song to the couple. Such a cool moment!
Thank you both so much for trusting me to document your wonderful EVOO Restaurant wedding. I hope you’ve enjoyed the teasers – and the full set of images will be ready very soon!
