Larz Anderson Park in Brookline is one of my favorite places for engagement photos, even in the dead of winter. Saturday was not the prettiest day for pictures – it was dull and cloudy, and pretty chilly out – but Jen and Sebastien’s wedding is less than two weeks away now so we’d pretty much run out of rescheduling opportunities!
When I first met with Sebastien and Jen, they were looking just for coverage of their intimate restaurant wedding in Cambridge, but after hanging out with them and their daughter Linnea, I suggested doing a little family engagement session so we could all get to know each other before the big day. And I’m so glad that we did!
We met up on Saturday at their awesome apartment in Brookline, just up the road from my place in JP, and we bundled everyone and their two doggies into the car and headed over to Larz Anderson. The original plan was to let the doggies, Trouble and Wednesday, have some fun roaming around off-leash, but the park was crazy busy with a wedding at the Auto Museum, and the ice rink packed for the last weekend of the season. So the dogs stayed on leash but we gave them a great walk all over the park, up and down hills, and I’m pretty sure it was one of their favorite afternoons ever!
Sweet Linnea is one of my favorite kids ever. She is feisty and fun, and was such a trouper despite the cold weather. I loved that she got involved in the photos, and it was pretty awesome watching her interact with her new dad Sebastien. Thank you all for a great afternoon, and I cannot wait for your wedding in less than two weeks! These are so lovely, Kate! The second one with their daughter on the steps is adorable.
Thank you Steve!
