A week or so before Thanksgiving, I met up with Farley and Jason for their engagement photos. They live out west of Boston, but they love the city and in fact got engaged here, at Strega restaurant on the waterfront – and of course we had to go back to that spot for some of their photos! Farley emailed me about locations a while before the shoot. She knew they wanted photos in Boston, but they were open to my suggestions, and it was a treat being able to suggest the best possible spots according to the light that afternoon, and the foliage left so late in the fall. There was one place that I knew would be perfect for them, with beautiful late afternoon light, and still some color left on the trees: Larz Anderson Park in Brookline. So that’s where we took many of the photos below:
I love how these guys look at each other. There’s crazy amounts of love there …
The light under the willow trees at the edge of the tiny lake there was just magical:
After a tour of Larz Anderson, we headed over to the waterfront (the Seaport district, I believe) for some more architectural shots, as well as some photos at Strega Waterfront, where Jason proposed to Farley:
The ICA is a good spot for fun reflection shots:
And one last favorite to end with. Thank you Jason and Farley for a great afternoon, for being such troupers in the biting cold wind, and for waiting so patiently the last couple of weeks for your teasers … I hope you enjoy this little taster!
