If blog posts came with a soundtrack, then the music playing right now would be I Gotta Feeling by the Black Eyed Peas. Yeah … these kids can party. 🙂 Kim and Jason’s reception was totally awesome, from start to finish, and there were a lot of very happy people that evening. To start things off, some details from their wine theme:
I borrowed the rings for a couple of shots with one of the wine bottles. 🙂 The main reception room was so elegant, with golds and reds:
After cocktails in a side room, dinner opened with the first dance:
The final photo above was a “happy accident” – I caught two guest flashes going off, just while Kim was closing her eyes … I kinda love it! Also before dinner, there were toasts by the two maids of honor, the two best men, and both fathers.
After dinner were the two sweet parent dances; I loved that all the guests crowded onto the edge of the dance floor to watch:
And then the party really started …
DJ Greg Hodges of 5 Star Events was phenomenal. He kept that dance floor packed and crazy all night long – he comes highly recommended from someone who has worked with a lot of DJs … thank you Greg!
Huge thanks to Kim, Jason and their wonderful friends and families for an amazing day. The full set of images will be available here in a week or two!
I love these!!! They are so sweet, beautiful, and hilarious!
Thank you ladies! 🙂
Hey Kate, these pictures are fantastic! Just wondering what lens you were using for everything? Love it!
Hi Diana, thanks! I use a mixture of lenses throughout the wedding day. My favorite is probably the 85mm 1.4, but I also used the 105mm macro, 35mm 2.0, 50mm 1.4 and 24mm 1.4 here. All Nikon. 🙂
