On Saturday, I stayed in Boston for the wedding of fellow beer fanatics and lovers of smoked meat, Sara and Dave – or DT as I found out he is more commonly known. 🙂 Their wedding day started and ended at the Seaport Hotel and World Trade Center, with a brief excursion to St Mary of the Annunciation Church in Cambridge for the Catholic mass. I started my afternoon in Sara’s suite on the eighth floor of the Seaport Hotel, and it was such a buzz of activity that I have fondly renamed the room “Grand Central”. To start off, some detail shots. I loved that Sara’s dress had pleats (first ever!) Her jewelry and shoes were classically beautiful – a perfect match for the feel of the day.
I had fun isolating little pieces of the action using walls and doors … you can get a feel for the craziness in the middle photo below!
Sara’s beautiful flowers arrived part way through the getting ready time. I am in LOVE with the peacock feathers in her bouquet. And I figured it would be fun to take a couple of ring shots using the bouquets as a backdrop:
I popped downstairs to the sixth floor for ten minutes, to meet with DT and his guys. It always makes me giggle, watching the guys fiddle around with the various accoutrements of their formal wear …
Then it was back upstairs in time for some final touches to hair and makeup, and some photos of Sara getting into her dress.
And here are a few final photos of Sara before she left for the first look … which will be along in the next couple of days …
Absolutely awesome! The last two shots are gorgeous, also!
Thanks so much Julian 🙂
