Last Monday, on Martin Luther King Day, I met up with Hannah and Jerphy in Tacoma for their engagement session. We lucked out with bright blue skies and lots of sunshine for our photos, and the bitter January cold didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits.
It was my first time visiting Tacoma, so I let Hannah and Jerphy lead the way around Union Station (which was unfortunately closed for the holiday), the Museum of Glass and Ruston Way Park. I was a little surprised to find myself completely falling for Tacoma! There are so many cool spots there, my favorite of which was the fire escape next to the Museum of Glass. I love the old brick and rugged iron stairs, and I think if we had been a little warmer we’d have spent a lot more time playing there.
Our last stop was at Hannah and Jerphy’s wedding venue, the Northwest Baptist Seminary, a beautiful, tranquil venue perched high on a ridge overlooking Puget Sound. Gorgeous! I’m excited to be back in May to photograph their wedding.
Here are some of my favorite shots from our session …
I think these picture look gorgeous.
