THE RED INN, PROVINCETOWN WEDDING: STEVEN & RICHARD
Steven and Richard held a fabulous gay wedding at The Red Inn in Provincetown in June. This sweet, smart, and totally loved up couple came all the way from LA to celebrate with family and friends in one of their favorite places in the world. Provincetown is one of the US’ biggest wedding destinations, especially for LGBT couples, and the upbeat, out and proud atmosphere in the town was a perfect fit for this wonderful celebration.
The grooms got ready at The Red Inn in an amazing suite overlooking the sea. It was a private and emotional start to the day, and there was a lot of nervous energy as they put on their tuxes and adjusted each others’ bow ties. I love being a witness to these most intimate of moments on a wedding day. Once dressed, we headed out for a few quick portraits before guests arrived. The sun was blasting (as you’d hope for a June wedding) but the air was lovely and cool – you can’t beat that sea breeze at Provincetown weddings!
The ceremony was held under a beautiful tent on the deck at The Red Inn, then cocktails took place in the gardens and throughout the interior space. Guests included several well-known actors, but the entire crowd was well-dressed and incredibly fun (many work in the industry, and almost all call LA home).
Dinner was held in the gorgeous restaurant space, then we headed back into the tent for dancing and other festivities. One of my very favorite parts of the evening was the incredible acrobatic display by two of Boston Circus Guild’s finest … dressed as sailors! We had a superb vendor team, led by coordinator Bernadette of 14 Stories, including DJ Addam, Riverview Chamber Players, Boston Uplights (LOVED the rich hues of blue, purple and red in the tent), and my favorite florist, New Leaf out of JP in Boston.
