This was my first Boston Harbor Hotel wedding as primary shooter, and what an amazing venue it is! Situated on Boston’s waterfront, with its huge arch, it is truly an icon. I was thrilled to document Ann and Mike’s early August wedding there.

I started my day with the ladies, a hugely spirited and welcoming group, and we captured some really fun moments over the course of the morning. They had me cracking up so many times, especially Ann and her maid of honor, who could – and probably should – be a comedy act. The girls also had the most perfect reaction when Ann appeared once dressed. There were gasps and sighs, and huge hugs all around.

Mike and Ann chose not to see each other before the wedding, but Ann wanted to have a special first look with her dad. We used the beautiful Rotunda at Boston Harbor Hotel for this, and the portraits that followed; it is such a gorgeous spot, and the light in there is to die for.

I traveled with the wedding party to St Ignatius Church at Boston College and captured some funny moments on the drive. The church itself is stunning, and the priest was a riot. He was the perfect fit for Ann and Mike’s vibrant and outgoing personalities.

After the ceremony, we set up a confetti exit (you can purchase biodegradable confetti online at Etsy and Amazon) and I loved the photos from this. Then, we headed over to Linden Lane at BC for some couples portraits.

Cocktail hour was held in the Rotunda at Boston Harbor Hotel, and the reception took place in the Wharf Room, a ballroom with 270 degree views of the water and Harborwalk. The band K2 was phenomenal, and guests danced with abandon throughout.
