BEST OF 2012: WEDDINGS PART FOUR – RECEPTION

Jan 22, 2013 | Weddings

The reception is often my very favorite part of the wedding day, as it’s when everyone comes together to have fun and celebrate.  I’ve photographed receptions in some amazing venues this year, including some of my all-time favorites: Boston’s State Room by Longwood Events, The Four Seasons Hotel, the Taj Boston, the Mandarin Oriental, Turner Hill in Ipswich, Glen Manor House and The Chanler in Newport, RI, The Smith Barn in Peabody, and the Omni Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods, NH.  I also photographed two awesome, intimate weddings in the back yard of a wonderful family home on the Cape.  It’s a treat having such variety!

Below are a mixture of my favorite moments, details and crazy party pictures – with first dances and toasts, emotional parent dances, awesome action on the dance floor, and some very silly photos from my photobooth.  I hope you enjoy this little taster of the past year!  And if you’d like to check out some of my other favorite images from 2012, you’ll find the getting ready photos here, first look and portraits here, and ceremony photos here.

The next four images were taken while second shooting for my friend Zev Fisher:
