Murray Franklyn: Golf in Snoqualmie

May 22, 2008 | Portraits

I have the best job on the planet! On Monday, I spent another very enjoyable day with the employees at Murray Franklyn, photographing their company golf tournament. They booked the entire course at Snoqualmie Ridge for the day, and I got my own little cart to ride around in with my photo gear. It was so much fun!

The group was divided up into teams of four or more players, and each team started at a different hole. I drove my cart around the course a few times, taking shots of them playing and hanging out enjoying the sunshine.

We weren’t the only ones enjoying the sunshine – I spotted this gorgeous deer right next to the 10th hole.

There were many pairs of fabulous shoes out on the course – this was my favorite, but the winning pair (yes, there was a shoe competition!) was a pair of stylin’ black Nikes.

This was the best mud splatter of the day … or at least the best one caught on camera!

At the 12th hole, you can see Snoqualmie Falls – what a view!

At the end of the morning, Woodinville Lumber threw a BBQ lunch for us – more tasty burgers! – and the competition winners were announced. There were a couple of serious categories which, still not understanding golf any better after an entire morning watching it, I completely forget … and then of course the best shoes and best pink outfit categories. Best pink outfit! Love it!

This lady was not the winner of best pink outfit – but I’m betting she was a strong contender.

After lunch, we headed out to view the new Snoqualmie Ridge developments, Ridgestone and Deer Park. I was once again blown away by the model homes – they are so beautiful: sleek, modern and spacious. My photos really don’t do them justice!

Thanks again to Murray Franklyn for inviting me along to a really fun event. I hope to work with you all again soon!

  1. Air guitar with a golf club – fantastic capture! Looks like fun! That waterfall is awesome. I’d be the guy to goof around on the golf cart, lose control, and head downhill for the waterfall having to bail at the last minute.
